Spicy Garlic Shrimp
A great snack to get a BBQ party started. Spicy Garlic Shrimp's are an easy recipe with only a handful of ingredients, but the flavours are so bold, you want to keep peeling for more!
12 Black Tiger Shrimps
3 cloves of garlic
1 red thai chili
2 tbsp chilli garlic sauce
dash of soy sauce
dash of s/p
2 tbsp lime juice
4 tbsp olive oil or butter
Wash the shrimp in cold water.
In a blender, add garlic, red chilli pepper, chilli garlic sauce, soy sauce, and lime juice. Blend until you have minced all ingredients. Now, slow blend and add the olive oil to create a paste. Add shrimp and marinade to a ziplock bag, and stir until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour, stirring a few times to make sure every shrimp is coated properly.
Preheat your grill at medium heat. Thread your shrimp onto skewers, piercing through the tail and another through the head. Do not disregard marinade!
Lightly oil your grill and cook your shrimp on your preheated grill for 2 to 3 minutes, and make sure to baste the remaining paste onto the shrimp at least once. Keep an eye out to make sure you don't over cook your shrimp. If you do, they become very rubbery.
