I was introduced to American burger joint Fudruckers through a good friend of mine, Lilly, AKA @IISuperwomanII . We had gone on a business trip together to Texas and before we even took off from the airport in Toronto, she was raving about this place. Now keep in mind Lilly is a Vegetarian! So, as she is going on and on about the veggie burgers, I had doubts for her claims about the meat burgers since she hadn't tried them. The only way to find out if she was just hyping these burgers up was to try them. As soon as we landed in Texas, we went to Fudruckers.

O•M•G! Best friggen burger ever. This is NOT an understatement and I KNOW my burgers. I had the Buffalo burger with Jalapeño Havarti Cheese, fried Jalapeños. and dressed it with all the fixings I love. The burger was seasoned well, very juicy, and the bun was super soft.

After coming home and not having access to a Fudruckers locally, I had to recreate it so I could enjoy it at home, whenever I wanted.

Here is what I came up with. You can use this seasoning for veggie burgers as well:

Fudruckers Seasoning

2 tsp paprika
1 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 1/4 tsp salt or sea salt
1/2 tsp dark brown sugar
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp ground cayenne pepper

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle on hamburger patties before hitting the grill/griddle. This makes for 2 TBSP, so double or triple up if you need to.

For best results, make a baseball sized ball of the beef, place on a hot griddle and then press down with a plate or bowl until you get a flat patty. Make sure you hear a beautiful sizzle. Sprinkle patty with more seasoning and flip over. You don't need too much time to cook the patty. Make a few minutes on each side.
